This is the place I call my own.

Emma. Designer. Individual. Taken. Employed. Newtown. Music. Family. Pretty Things. Emotional. Life.

Today I was told by a workmate that I looked like I had lost weight.

I did not say thankyou, I did not gush and look pleased, as is expected of me as a fat person. I did not tell her, as I have done in the past, that I was trying to be healthier, or that I was exercising more.

And I did not let it stop me from eating birthday cake.

Im so proud of my own body acceptance journey, and thrilled that other peoples opinions of my body no longer affect my own self worth.
